For the last 4 days, I have felt like the wicked witch of the west and thought I was melting! It has been SO hot here. It was not only hot but humid too. I know, I know, other places are hot as well!
Fortunately we had been talking about extreme temperature changes, so we got to spend two afternoons at the beach with all of boys camp. I hear they modified activities yesterday too, but I was off so I didn't experience 3 days of it.
Other than the heat, camp is going well and I have a more focused role this summer, so I am staying on top of my job. It has been nice not to feel run off my feet in this first week. There are always kinks to work out and matters to attend to, but it feels more manageable this year.
So today the wind has picked up and the rain is coming! Let's hope this cools us down a bit and the humidity breaks a little!
